OBJECTIVES
At the end of this seminar, participants will be able to:
- develop an increased awareness of the pelvic floor
- integrate full body movement with the pelvic floor
- work on creating strength, flexibility and coordination of the pelvic floor for themselves and their patients
- integrate use of the pelvic floor to promote functional movements (such as going from sitting to standing, going upstairs, lifting, and breathing)
- reduce stress and strain on the lower back, the hips and the knees through improved pelvic floor coordination
- teach patients to integrate pelvic floor use to promote functional movements and to reduce stress and strain on the lower back, the hips and the knees through improved pelvic floor coordination
